Coming back to college after a summer of complete relaxation was a huge slap in the face, and after two weeks I’m still not used to its demands. I will say, it’s pretty nice to know I’m doing something productive basically all day long, so I don’t feel as horrible about spending a couple hours on Netflix every once in a while! One thing I love about college is how each semester is completely different, unlike in high school, so by the time you’re getting bored of your current schedule, it’s already time to sign up for next semester’s classes.
This semester I decided to fill up my schedule with 17 hours, so I’m focusing all of my time on school and finding an internship. That’s made for a pretty hectic daily routine, which looks like this on most days:
Morning: I wake up at 8am most days, giving myself about 45 minutes to get ready for class. My average outfit on a school day consists of Nike shorts and a t-shirt, so I usually make up a combo on the spot instead of planning something the night before! I’ll make breakfast in my dorm (yogurt or cereal most of the time), and spend whatever spare time I have looking through social media and emails until I head out to class.
Classes: No two days look the same for me, so I just go with the flow most of the time! Here’s an overview of my class schedule for perspective:
It’s not as horrible as it seems, but I could definitely do without 4 and a half hours straight of physics.
After Class: Depending on the day, I usually start my afternoon with a well needed nap or free time to work on blogging and pinning. It’s not the best habit of mine, but I hardly ever start homework before 8pm! I figure giving myself an hour or two of relaxation makes me more productive for a night of studying. I’ll occasionally have club meetings during dinner time where I’ll eat for free, otherwise I grab dinner at my dorm’s cafeteria or walk out to a restaurant.
Evenings: Almost all of my work gets done between 8pm and midnight, which works surprisingly well for me! I don’t have to worry about getting to a class, so I can find a comfy spot at the library or my dorm to study. Of course this sometimes gets interrupted by meetings or late yoga classes, but on those days I just shift things around. I try my best to be in bed by 1am, which hasn’t been hard considering how long I’m up and working during the day!
What’s your daily college schedule like? What do you like to do during your free time outside of class?

I’ve been thinking of doing a post similar to this and I really love the way you organized this post. I have really long days too AND I have night class 3 times per week. It’s a lot, but I do enjoy being busy. In my free time, I’m usually blogging or watching Netflix with my roommates!

Your schedule sounds busy yet productive! I can’t even imagine 4.5 hours of physics… I’m only taking 12 credits, because that’s all I need to graduate, so I thankfully have more free time than usual this semester. I spend the time working on my blog or campus magazines!
