If you follow me on Pinterest, you might have noticed that my DIY board has been pretty active recently. I don’t pin to it very often because I usually don’t have the time to make any of the projects (I can dream), but I’ve fallen in love with one of the biggest 2015 trends – succulents. Succulents, EVERYWHERE.
On my desk. In my dorm. Hanging from the ceiling. Sitting in a fish bowl. I would love to see one 24 hours a day if that were possible, because they’re just too darn cute and brighten up even the worst of days. Last week I stopped by Home Depot and picked up a few, but unfortunately they’re sitting at home while I’m on campus. Sad day. But Pinterest has managed to fill that void, and I’m not holding back. In fact, half way through writing this post I’ve decided to skip the DIY board all together and make a board specifically for beautiful succulents.
But the fun doesn’t stop at the succulent itself. My new obsession? Their containers. Succulent DIY projects are popping up everywhere. From The Nectar Collective to Brit + Co, bloggers all over are coming up with creative ways to pot your succulents. My absolute favorite ideas were found on The Sweetest Occasion, because they seem so easy to make and still look gorgeous.
Now that I’ve hopefully made your day a little better by inspiring you with plants, I hope y’all have a fantastic weekend!
Are there any trends you’ve been following this year? Let me know in the comments! Btw, if you enjoy pinning about blogging and everything that goes with it, join me and some fantastic ladies on my new group board!
Oh, and happy FriYAY!

I’m a succulent lover myself! I’ve really been falling in love with the gold, white, black office décor trend. I’m gearing up for a move in the next couple months and I’m seriously thinking of overhauling my office this way and of course, with some succulents ;)
Same! Gold is pretty much my favorite color, and I think I’ll be painting some pots gold for my succulents!
I’ve been wanting to find some plants to put in my apartment, and I think I’m going to try succulents! They seem fairly easy to take care of but really are cute.
Oh definitely! I’ve tried so many types of plants indoors, but I’ve never had any luck with keeping them alive, so I’m hoping the succulents hold up!
Oh my goodness I loooove succulents! :) I’m planning on buying some this spring! I’m definitely following that board of yours!
They’re just too perfect to pass up!
Ahhh so you’re the culprit of all the succulents on my feed on Pinterest! (not exactly a problem considering they are perfect.

Haha, woops! I just can’t get enough.
This is exactly what I need! We have a cat in the office and he likes to eat plants. Hopefully he’d realize that this one isn’t fun to eat (especially if it was prickly).

Adorable – I love succulents. They are one of the very few plants that I can keep alive, and they look so chic in apartments. Thanks for the inspiration :D
