New Orleans & Florida

For the past two weeks I’ve been vacationing in the Southeast, visiting the beautiful cities of New Orleans and Destin, Florida. I loved being able to relax for a while without checking emails (apologies to those of you I’m just now responding to!) or writing new posts, and it made for some great memories with family and friends! I wish I’d taken more pictures, especially in Florida where I didn’t take my camera out once, but I guess that left more time for enjoying the beach!

New Orleans

My family spent the first two days of our trip in NOLA, which turned out to be the perfect amount of time to explore the city, try the local food, and check out the nightlife!

Florida

This was my first time in Florida, and gosh, the beaches were beautiful! I’d never seen sand so white or water so clear, and I would absolutely go back. Like I said, I didn’t take any pictures here outside of a few Instagram posts, so these are a couple that my dad took!

I miss it already, but I’m also excited to get back into blogging and prepare for move-ins coming up this month! I have a lot of college posts planned for the next few weeks, but I’m always open to suggestions, so if you’re an incoming freshman and want to see something covered, let me know in the comments!

Spring Break, Round Two?

I wouldn’t consider myself to be the most spontaneous of people, but sometimes things just happen, okay? Like last week when I decided to pack my bags, skip three days of class, and head out to New Mexico for an impromptu ski trip. And it was totally worth it.

Also, did y’all know you can put this snazzy Instagram block in your posts?

The great thing about taking that mini-vacation is that it essentially gave me an extra spring break. I’m going into this next week without much of a plan either, so I guess spontaneity is my new thing. Hopefully I’ll make it to some SXSW shows (because you can’t live in Austin and not attend SXSW), and I might be trying out a “jjimjilbang”, which is a Korean spa that sounds incredibly relaxing, with a few of my friends. I’ll update y’all later on how that goes! For now, I’ll be enjoying well-deserved weekend of doing absolutely nothing.

Reader Survey!

Last week I announced that I’ll be making some big changes to this blog over the next few months, and I was so happy to see all the supportive comments from my readers wishing me luck! It’s amazing to see so many wonderful people following along with my posts after just under a year of blogging. My readers are what make this such a fun hobby for me, which is why I want ensure that you’re included in my new project. I figured the best way to do that is by getting to know my readers a bit more, so today I’m launching a reader survey!

Whether you’ve been reading this blog for a few weeks or have stuck with me from the beginning, I would love to hear from you. Don’t worry, it’s completely anonymous, so feel free to speak your mind. I want to know what you really think, and any response is appreciated! I’ll be running this survey for the next few days, so don’t worry if you can’t fill it out at this moment.

Thanks again for all of your support, and I hope you have a fantastic week!

Have you ever made a reader survey? If so, what did you learn from it?
