This is more important for those who are just about to enter college as they are ignorant to the fact that college is expensive. Once you’ve got things in 1st year they will probably last you the four years.

Freshman year, I lived with 2 other people in 1 room – it was originally only a double! Remembering that I literally had 3 square feet to myself helped a ton, haha.

My school also has free & for sale Facebook pages. A lot of people are always trying to get rid of stuff, so it’s easy to find cheap or even free furniture and housing supplies.

This year I’m getting a bigger bed, and I got a great deal on a comforter at Target, too! I just got a plain black/gray one, and I’m going to get a $20 duvet cover at IKEA. A comparable duvet with a design would cost me around $80, but my cheap Target + IKEA substitute is about $40!
